Urban health capacities assessment and response: promoting urban health in Korea

Overview

Local authorities are seeking to promote better urban health in the Republic of Korea (South Korea), but the challenge is often working with different sectors to achieve complex urban health goals. In 2025, three multi-stakeholder teams conducted a participatory self-assessment of capacities in three distinct urban areas of differing size and geography, using the World Health Organization (WHO) Urban health capacity assessment and response resource kit.
