Urban health capacities assessment and response: strengthening local government delivery of Ghana's Community Health and Planning Services in Greater Accra

Municipal authorities are seeking to strengthen their implementation of Community Health and Planning Services in Greater Accra, Ghana. In 2025, a multi-stakeholder team from two local government areas in the region conducted a participatory self-assessment of capacities to increase the sustainability of programme delivery, using the World Health Organization Urban health capacity assessment and response resource kit. This case study captures key learning and reflections from the process.
